Maria Jun, D.M.D.
Dr. Jun is a board-eligible endodontist, recently returned to Connecticut, where she began her dental education. She grew up travelling across many countries with her family, including South Korea and New Zealand, before settling down in the United States. Dr. Jun received her Bachelor’s degree, Magna Cum Laude, in Chemistry from Wellesley College, MA. She spent several years conducting biochemistry and life-sciences research at Wellesley and the Boston Children’s Hospital, and then continued on to pursue her interest in healthcare and dentistry at University of Connecticut’s School of Dental Medicine. Following her graduation, she completed her Endodontics residency program at Temple Kornberg School of Dentistry. During her time at Temple, Dr. Jun researched apical stem cell attachment and their role in regenerative endodontic therapy.
As a clinician, Dr. Jun’s goal is to create a comfortable and trusting environment for patients needing endodontic therapy. She strives to practice endodontics by listening to her patients, building trust, reflecting on their needs, and providing compassionate care.
Outside of the office, Dr. Jun enjoys spending time with her family and fiancé. She loves watching movies, solving puzzles, and building nanoblocks. She is an active member of her church community and enjoys Zumba fitness classes.
